Publication and No-Show Policy

Publication and No-Show Policy

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain any plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference or journal at the same time (double submission). These issues are taken very seriously and NetSoft will take actions against any author who has engaged in either practice. Please see the IEEE Web Page on Plagiarism and the IEEE Web Page on Double Submission.

To be published in the NetSoft 2020 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore®, one author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the author (member or non-member) rate.

Non-refundable registration fees must be paid in due time by the author registration deadline.

  • For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers which he/she is an author or co-author AND presenter of and includes papers for the technical program and/or demo session.
  • For Workshop authors presenting multiple papers in the same workshop, one Workshop registration is valid for one person, which covers up to three (3) papers the registrant authored or co-authored AND is presenting. If the registrant has multiple papers in different Workshops, the registration needs to register for each workshop.

Particularly importantEach presenter of a co-authored paper must register at the Author rate. This includes Student presenters. However, please note that ComSoc Student Members are eligible to a Student Travel Grant. Presenters who are not yet member are thus encouraged to join ComSoc.

It is possible to transfer an author registration to a co-author. If so, a request should be made in writing and email to e.gaerlan@comsoc.org by Friday, 19 June 2020. Registration rate difference will apply depending on the membership status of the new registration.

Presentations in the Virtual event

According to IEEE policy, each paper must be presented by one author of the paper. As NetSoft 2020 is running as a virtual event, all presentations will be delivered remotely, either through recorded video or live presentation. In any case, one registered co-author of the paper is required to attend the corresponding session to ensure that questions can be appropriately handled at the end of the presentation. As such, presentation by a non-author will not be allowed. Please note that the presenter should be mentioned on the EDAS page of the paper, to allow a smooth preparation of the sessions.

Particularly importantPlease note again, that presentation of a paper requires the presenter be registered at Author rate, even when student.

Any difficulty should be first reported to the conference chairs at netsoft2020-chairs@edas.info.

Non-adherence to this policy will result in the paper being potentially dropped from IEEE Xplore.

Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE NetSoft 2020 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore.
